Naomi Osaka “I’m hurting my heart” to 1,300 people who died in the Haiti earthquake
The earthquake in Haiti, an island country in the Caribbean of Central America, has caused enormous damage, with at least 1,300 casualties . Many homes collapsed in the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck the western part of the country on the 4th. So far, 1297 people have been killed and about 5,700 have been injured. Many are missing and more casualties may occur in the future.
Naomi Osaka, a tennis player whose father is from Haiti, is on Twitter. He commented that he was hurt to see the damage caused by the placement and announced that he would donate all the winnings of the tournament that will open in the United States this week to support the affected areas.
